NORWAY:

Stellaris DanceTheatre as is a professional dance company based in Hammerfest and is likely the second oldest and northernmost of it’s kind. The company was founded in 1980 under the name Hammerfest Ballettverksted. Stellaris DanceTheatre´s activity is today organized through different performances / projects. As well as producing and touring the Barents Region with own productions Stellaris DanceTheatre collaborates with different professional institutions nationally and internationally. As a collaborator Norway has created a foundation in order to apply for funding for work involving the Barents DanceCouncil. www.stellaris.no

Dansearena nord is a foundation owned by the County Communes of Finnmark, Troms, Nordland and Hammerfest Kommune. Studio and administration is located in Arctic Culture Centre, Strandgata 30, Hammerfest. As well as offering producer services and residency programmes. Dansearena nord collaborates with different art organisations and institutions. Historically the founding of Dansearena nord (2004) was based on the artistic activity of Stellaris DanceThetare. Today the two organisations act independently of each other. www.dansearenanord.no

FINLAND:

JoJo - Oulu Dance Centre is an organization for producing and promoting professional dance productions throughout the year. It is one of eleven similar organizations financed by the State of Finland according to the Theatre and Orchestra Law. The core of JoJo's repertoire consists of contemporary dance, but the productions also include other fields of dance, e.g. folkdance, flamenco, and ballroom dancing. Visiting productions are also included in JoJo's repertoire. www.jojo.fi
